My birthday was all around incredible this year.

Began at my hotel, so I offered myself a night at a big hotel, and I just mentionned in passing it was my birthday, so I was upgraded, view on whole London, from a 14th floor is all around spectacular. A king sized bed is too.

Then went to Hammersmith, I arrived early to avoid the crowd to get my ticket, I fell right into it lol. While going, I saw someone I met at the san pancras show but we didn’t talk a lot, she was doing the M&G and I didn’t (for 2 reasons, I was lucky in April to do it, and honestly I wasn’t THAT anxious to meet Lea, sorry)

The concert itself.

I was pretty far, so couldn’t take a pic to save my life. No matter. I have the memories :D.

1st thing, those 2 voices go really really really well together. Like the bring the best out of each other. He forced her to tone it down in a way. And that’s perfect.

2nd thing, Lea’s talking voice is really nasal, that’s very weird for someone with such a ‘anchored’ singing voice (once again I am sorry). But she’s cute and fun lol. 

3d thing Lea’s got a perfect pitch, nothing gets out of line, and that’s weirdly my biggest problem there tbh. I know that’s weird, but that’s how I am when it come to singing. I’m weird. And except on Don’t Rain On My Parade, which was absolutely perfect and show stopper, I didn’t have goosebumps. (ANd that’s crazy cause I’m watching a YT video rn explaining exactly why I feel that way, but that’s just me)

Now Darren, I think it is established I have 0 objectivity when it comes to him, so I’ll just say I teared up on IDAD and SOWK, and his TD is perfect. Musician/songwriter is definitely my fave Darren. If I always have him doing those, I could survive seeing him less tbh. 

And then we had “This Time” and guess what ? Now I’m very curious about what a collaboration D+L would give to us if she did an album, and he wrote her some song, pretty sure, it would be incredible.

“MAke you fell my love”, that moment is just … I was in the middle of the upper balcony, and I had 0 problem hearing any of them. Had I not seen it, I wouldn’t have believed that people in the back really were hearing, but yes they do.
